Retail Assistant    

Job Title – Retail Assistant    
Reporting to – Development Director / Retail Manager
Hours – Friday – Saturday 10.00 – 18.00 (7.5 hours per/day)

Overall purpose of the job  
As Retail Assistant your role will be to assist with the day to day running of the FC Designer Collective retail shop and support the local community. This is a part time role where you are responsible for all sales activities in store. You will deliver a quality and consist service including identifying customer’s needs, building relationships with in store designers and the community, and ensuring all product is visually displayed and courses are promoted.  
Sales & Service 

  • Actively sell in a professional and friendly manner  

  • Achieve individual sales targets by demonstrating a passion for the product, the brands and their values 

  • Engage with customers to the highest standard, exceed their expectations by going the extra mile and building strong customer loyalty 

  • Support local community events 

  • Work with local traders in Foothill Road

  • Support, promote and assist with courses in the retail shop


  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of each collection in order to aid our customers fashion needs and provide feedback to the community designers 

  • To provide accurate and informative product knowledge 

  • Promote the brands, products and services at all times, including in store and across social media 

  • Showcase collections by creating window and in store displays 

  • Assist with the recruitment of Islington based designers to sell in store

  • Support designers with in store events, social media and promoting their brand


  • Ensure sales transactions are processed with care and attention 

  • Send weekly sales figures to head office 

  • Adhere to stock control procedures. Create a stock assist register and update weekly 

  • Ensure the sales floor is neat, clean, organised, Covid compliant  and reflects the correct visual image at all times 

  • Ensure contracts for the designers are in place and that the designer fully understands T&Cs

  • General administration  


  • Demonstrate flexibility in order to meet store needs
